Otter Revenge
The St. Thomas Optimist Mosquito Cardinals got a little revenge from an earlier loss this season, by beating Tillsonburg 9-5 Wednesday.
Logan Mosher got the start and threw three shutout innings while the Cardinals bats gave him a 6-0 lead. He would surrender 3 in the fourth, but Jamie Noviss would come in from the pen to finish the job the rest of the way.
It was a nice victory considering the Cards were robbed of a victory the first time these two teams met. Down by just a run, a 7th inning double play with the bases loaded ended the game the first time around in an 11-10 loss.
Noviss not only saved the game in relief but went 3-4 at the dish with 3 runs scored. Christian Vecchio also had 2 hits in the win.
