All Wrangled Up
For the third straight time this season, Wyoming was just too much for the St. Thomas Optimist Mosquito Cardinals.  Strong pitching and defence out of the gate had the game scoreless through a pair of innings.

But after two great innings, starter Logan Mosher approached his pitch count and the dangerous top of the Wranglers order took advantage. They would score five times in the third.

The lead swelled to 12-1 heading into the bottom of the 5th, but that's when the Cards produced one of their best offensive innings in weeks. Needing at least a pair to avoid a mercy, the first five hitters reached base with a pair of walks and two singles. Then Alex Foshay delivered a big blow slamming a double to left. A pair of RBI groundouts later and the boys had produced a five run inning off a really good club.

The final scoreline would show a 13-7 Wyoming win, but the kids showed some fight and some guts in the back to back losses against the top team in our region. Tyson Benwell was the offensive leader with a pair of hits including a double.

It's a nine day break until the Cards hit the field for game action again, but are looking forward to a team trip to the Dome Saturday.
