It was a slow start for the Major Rookies coming off their Tournament Win in LaSalle, but the Cardinals overcame a quiet first few innings to come away with a 17-6 victory on Tuesday. Once the Cardinals got rolling, they managed to smack out 31 hits. After being tied up 2-2 after 2, the St. Thomas Cardinals 9U took the lead for good with six runs in the third inning. In the third Kolton doubled, driving in one run, Luke T tripled, driving in two runs, and Hayden B singled, driving in two runs. After that, they were rolling as the Cardinals scored an additional seven runs in the fourth inning.
