St. Thomas Cardinals 9U Takes Some Time To Pull Away From Dorchester Diamondbacks
St. Thomas Cardinals 9U and Dorchester Diamondbacks played a taut affair on Tuesday, but St. Thomas Cardinals 9U eventually prevailed 29-15 after taking the lead for good in the third inning. The game was tied at nine with St. Thomas Cardinals 9U batting in the top of the third when the Cardinals broke it open and did not look back.  St. Thomas Cardinals 9U was boosted by Chase C who went 5-for-5 at the plate, with 2 Triples, a Double and 7 RBI's, by Tayven B, Nathan W and Kaden L, whom all also went 5-for-5 in the game.  Chase singled in the first, tripled in the second and third inning, singled in the fourth, and doubled in the fifth.  St. Thomas Cardinals 9U took the lead for good with seven runs in the third inning.

In the third Nathan W tripled, driving in two runs, Tayven B singled, driving in one run, Chase tripled, driving in one run, Cameron doubled, driving in one run, and Kaden L doubled, driving in two runs. St. Thomas Cardinals 9U scored seven runs in the fourth inning.   St. Thomas Cardinals 9U's big inning was driven by a single by Cooper H, a single by Zephyr H, a single by Tayven, a single by Chase, a single by Cameron, and a double by Kaden. St. Thomas Cardinals 9U collected 43 hits. Kolton B, Kaden, Tayven, Chase, Ty T, Cooper H, Cameron, Zephyr, Cooper D, and Nathan each collected multiple hits for St. Thomas Cardinals 9U. Tayven B and Chase C also scored 5 times a piece, Cooper H scored 4 times, and Kolton B, Nathan W, Zephyr H and Minor Rookie T1 Call-up Cooper Doan scored 3 times each in the winning effort.  In addition to Chase driving in 7, Nathan W and Kaden L driving in 5 each, Kolton B and Cameron M drove in 3 each, with Tayven B and Minor Rookie T1 Call-up Ty Titchner drove in 2 runs as well.  Every player drove in or scored a run, and every player recorded a hit in this offensive affair.  Great swinging Cardinals!  

The win moves us to 19-3 on the season, sitting second in LDBA Major Rookie Division.  Next up, our final regular season game, at home Thursday Night vs the first place London West Tincaps.  6:00pm - New York Central - Aug 17th!  GO CARDS!
