St. Thomas Bantam 1 wins fourth straight; Pennings, Ferris golden
Caleb Pennings (left) earned the the golden ball for stellar starting pitching and catcher Logan Ferris earned the gold glove as St. Thomas Bantam 1 improved to 4-2 on the year with a 6-2 victory over Byron 2 Tuesday at Emslie Field. St. Thomas was aided in its fourth straight victory by strong relief pitching by Scott Marchand, solid baserunning and good patience at the plate. Due to a lack of hits, the gold bat was not awarded.
