Jekyll and Hyde Cards split 2 games
The Bantam Cardinals had 1 win and 1 loss as they finally took the field again this week.

On Tuesday, the Cardinals exhibited more rust than a 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger. North London scored early and often as the Cardinals played like they hadn't been on the field in 2 weeks.  Which  was actually pretty true aside from a couple of practices.

North London played well and hit the ball very well but the Cardinals struggled with some simple plays that they have made all year.  You know these games are going to happen and the boys just have to shake it off and continue.

Fortunately, they had no time to dwell on the past as Aylmer - back in the league after many year's absence - came to town on Wednesday night.  As one would expect, Aylmer is in for a long season given that these boys had not played at this level for many years.  The Cardinals scored a few early and behind some solid pitching and defense easily coasted to victory.

The team's first tournament of the season comes this weekend in Brantford.  Scores will be posted as soon as possible upon completion of the games.  Use the tournament link on the left side of the Team Home page.  Or, if you are lazy,
