St. Thomas 3 Sportswood Printing improved to 7-2 on the year with its fourth straight victory, but it wasn't easy. Sportswood spotted Southwest London 1 seven runs in the top of the first inning Thursday night at Emslie, but came back with six runs in the bottom half of the inning to nearly even things up. It took until the bottom of the 4th for Sportswood to take a 15-9 lead, but Southwest 1 rallied for four runs in the top of the 5th to narrow the gap before the game reached the time limit. Griffin Noreiga earned the golden bat, Devin McAfee earned the gold glove for stellar work in the field and Curtis Parish pitched four solid innings to earn the golden ball.
