Success at the Cardinal Classic
St. Thomas Optimist Rookie Cardinals may not have won a game at the Cardinal Classic but we learned a lot about the team.
The boys started the tournament off on Friday at the big diamond at the Doug Tarry Complex and moved over to the Centennial Sports Complex on Saturday. The Cardinals were mercied in their first two games but battled and learned about communication and work ethics on the diamond. In game three the Cardinals faced a group from Niagara Falls and showed off their skills. Hitting the ball hard and getting infront of the ball, the boys scored 19 runs and played a great game.
The Cardinals are back in action tonight at 6:00pm to face the Ilderton-Lucan Rep team.
