St. Thomas city workers have just cancelled all games at Emslie Field for Sunday (Aug. 14) due to unplayable field conditions. Unfortunately, there is no diamond time at Emslie the next two weekends due to other tournaments booked long ago. All A Group coaches will be consulted soon about what to do next and a decision will be made.

St. Thomas city workers have determined Emslie Field is unplayable and all games have been postponed until 2 pm Saturday at the earliest.

The Oakridge vs. Byron 1 game was suspended due to thunderstorms with Oakridge ahead 5-0 through one completed inning, with Oakridge batting in the top of the 2nd. There is 1 hour and 20 minutes left in the game time. The game will resume where it left off at the next available opportunity. Pitch counts reset for today but the following pitchers were used (noted for the rule banning pitchers from pitching three days in a row): Oakridge #16 Ethan Mercer - 21 pitches Byron #15 Kyle James - 33 pitches

In Southwest London 1's 10-8 victory over St. Thomas 1 on Friday night, the pitchers used were: SW 1 #9 Ethan Herd - 83 pitches St. Thomas 1 #13 Scott Marchand - 73 pitches #14 Devin McAfee - 14 pitches #15 Mark Snetselaar - 25 pitches

A tight game throughout, with Alvinston squeaking out a 8-7 victory in the bottom of the eighth inning. Pitchers used: Alvinston #3 Denver Manning - 91 pitches #17 Carson Rombouts - 54 pitches Lucan-Ilderton #50 Andrew Ouderkerk - 89 pitches #12 Owen Currrie - 73 pitches *** Alvinston head coach and #12 Sam Joris were both ejected in the game and are each automatically issued a one game suspension that will be in effect for the team's Saturday 9 a.m. game. Neither the coach of Joris are allowed to be in the dugout for the game and Joris cannot be dressed for the game.
