Congratulations to this week’s Team of the Week: the 8U St. Thomas Cardinals! The Cardinals are a true underdog success story… and who doesn’t love to root for a team like that?This scrappy group came together last year, winning just 5 games throughout the 2024 season, but they were not to be deterred! All 8 underage players returned to the Cardinals for 2025 ready to learn and improve in the sport they love. If you can hear thunder, you can get hit by lightning. Take shelter immediately. If you cannot find a sturdy, fully enclosed building with wiring and plumbing, get into a metal-roofed vehicle. Seeking shelter in baseball dugouts is not safe.  Do not stand under tall objects like trees or be on the baseball fields.  Stay inside for 30 minutes after the last rumble of thunder.  We would expect all games to be suspended until the 30 minutes and if it is still rumbling with thunder or you see lightning, please leave the park.   

Thank You to all the players that put in a lot of hard work and effort in the three days of tryouts. Players not selected will be contacted in January for house league.
