St Thomas Cardinals Major Rookies Break the Bats out Thursday
St. Thomas Cardinals 9U took the lead for good in the third inning with strong defense and some hard hits in a home game  at New York Central against the London Tecumseh's by a 21-3 score on Thursday. The Cardinals were down 3-2 heading into the bottom of the 3rd, when the bats came alive.  St. Thomas Cardinals 9U took the lead for good with seven runs in the third inning. In the third Kolton singled, driving in one run, Kaden L doubled, driving in two runs, Luke T singled, driving in one run, Cameron M singled, driving in one run, and Luke O singled, driving in two runs.
St. Thomas Cardinals 9U scored 7 runs in the fourth inning. St. Thomas Cardinals 9U's big inning was driven by run scoring doubles by Tayven B and Parker V, and RBI single's by Chase, Kaden, Luke T, Cameron and Luke O.  St. Thomas Cardinals 9U collected 34 hits, with all players registering multiple.  Kolton, Nathan W, Cameron, Kaden, Hayden B, Chase, Zephyr H, Tayven, Luke, Luke, Cooper H, and Parker each collected multiple hits for St. Thomas Cardinals 9U. St. Thomas Cardinals 9U were tidy in the infield over the last 3 innings, turning 3 DP's and not allowing a runner past second!  #DefenseWinsChampionships 

Great team effort led to a nice outcome, taking our record to 3-0 heading into next Thursday's tilt with the North London Nationals in London.  Go Cardinals!
