Briwood wins playoff opener 14-13
Caleb Pennings was St. Thomas Briwood's MVP in a 14-13 victory over Oakridge in their A group playoff opener Sunday in Delaware.
On the mound, Pennings gave up just one earned run in three innings of work. At the plate, Pennings drove in three runs to pace his first-place team to victory.
Monday in Mt. Brydges at 6 p.m., St. Thomas Formet will take on its cross-town rival St. Thomas Formet. The winner advances to Wednesday's championship game.
