A Rewarding Season
Our team quickly came together, with most of the boys having played with one another in previous years. Our pitching staff is what held us in games all season and it wasn't until mid season that our defense started to help us win some close games. The playoffs were typical of our .500 season average, having won 2 and losing 2. The elimination game was one that we should have advanced in but we left too many base runners on base. We ended up losing that semi-final game 9-8 and finished 4th in the playoffs. It was a great season and good luck next year boys.
I would also like to thank Gary Smith and Dale Meginnis for all their hard work, helping me manage and coach the team this year. What ever capacity it may be, I will be looking forward to seeing you both next year.
