FAQ (St. Thomas Minor Baseball)

1.  What nights do Tball, Jr Rookie and Sr Rookie play?   These divisions play on Wednesday and Friday nights from mid-May to the end of July for Tball and the weekend after the long weekend in August for the Rookie teams.   These divisions do not play on the Friday of a long weekend.

2.  How long are games in Tball?  This is always a good question.  Because the players are 4 and 5 years old, we would like them to play at least 45 minutes to 1 hour.  Some teams do play for the full hour, but many find the attention span does not allow for that.  We would like to make sure the players have fun and come back the next week.

3.  Do I need to use Minor Baseball's grey baseball pants?   No, you may purchase any grey baseball pants.   We offer this service for those who do not want to purchase pants.  There is a $50 deposit to use Minor Baseball's pants.  When the pants are returned at the end of the season, the deposit cheque is returned.    We loan pants out for mosquito, peewee, bantam and midget players in house league and any competitive players that may need them.

4.  What equipment do I need for Tball and Rookie ball?   The player would need a baseball glove and a helmet for tball.   In junior rookie and senior rookie, in addition to the baseball glove and helmet, players would now need to wear a protective cup and long pants (sweatpants or baseball pants are preferred choices by players).    Baseball shoes are not needed at this age and that is a personal preference.
